A lighthouse in the Chesapeake that could use some paint!
After hearing of Loopers that had left Norfolk a few days earlier, and the terrible trip they had up the Chesapeake Bay, we were pleasantly surprised.  We had a pleasant ride, with southerly winds on our stern quarter.  Bob likes these conditions, even though it is a bit harder to steer as every now and then we would get a push from a wave and you could feel the boat surf forward.  We didn't encounter much traffic, other than a couple of tows in the distance.  All in all it was a great day.
When we arrived at Dozier's we found about eight or nine Loopers here, some had come from Norfolk on Friday when they left the rendezvous.  Dozier's provides three loaner cars, but they must be returned by 5 pm.  Local restaurants will come and pick you up, so Cocomo's was contacted and a group of ten of us enjoyed dinner together.  We plan on staying here today and tomorrow, possibly longer as rain and thunderstorms are predicted for later this week.  Tomorrow it is off to the grocery store and Bob will do some engine maintenance.

The weather report called for rain and unsettled, most of the day was rather pleasant, wrong again!  Off to the grocery store in the morning with the courtesy car then into the engine room to change the fuel filters.  The marina is providing a cocktail party tonight at 5:30, then will show the movie, "We Bought A Zoo" at 7:30.   Not sure what the weather will bring tomorrow; again they are calling for showers and some wind.  If that's the case, we may stay put!
