We're back! After leaving Florida and attending the AGLCA Rendezvous in Norfolk, VA we arrived in Mystic on May 10th. We spent the next ten days cleaning the inside and outside of the boat after its long winter nap. While Bob worked on the bottom, sanding and painting, I waxed the hull. The time came for the marina staff to lift our boat from her winter storage spot and launch her into the water.
A few more things to get done before we leave the end of the month for a trip up the Hudson River to join some looper friends. Our plan is to travel the Champlain Canal and Lake Champlain and return to Mystic in mid-July.

Awesome! I was hoping to do the trip up to Lake Champlain this summer but maybe next year a trip to New England. Have a great trip we hope to see you in florida in late fall. Keep blogging!
ReplyDeleteAh, Lake Champlain! I sailed there for a number of years, storing my boat for the winter in Albany and making the trip up the canal for the summer. Actually, my sailboat is still there. My ex keeps it in Westport. Keep your eyes open for Hotspur.
ReplyDeleteHey we may see you up there! Enjoy your trip!!
ReplyDeleteI got your note on our blog and have added you to the blogs I follow. So much fun to find folks that winter in the Cape. My email is: paulasue1@aol.com. Email me and put 'Great Loop' in the subject line. If we don't get together before we all end up in the Cape, we'll definitely plan some time together there.
