Remember in the last post I said we heard "noises" in the night? Well, we had visitors on board during the night. Luckily, no food was left out and our doors were closed. The forward hatch above our bed was open, but it does have a screen. Here is evidence of the visitor, looks like it was a raccoon!

Our carriage has arrived! It will carry us out of the water, over the road and down 57' to the water on the other side! |
Erika Lin is entering the Big Chute. We will be the only boat in the lift. They position the boat so that the propeller and rudder will hang off the rear of the carriage.

Here we are at the top of the lift, 57 feet above the water below! |
This is looking back up from where we just came from |
Almost there, the carriage has just reentered the water. While we were in the lift, the lift operator took a look at the propeller for us. Every thing was in good order, what a relief! |
This is a common site in Canada, narrow channels! |
They were right, it is narrow |
