Even though we weren't traveling today, we still got up early to take out the dogs. A bonus for early rising was this beautiful sunrise.
On Tuesday, we took care of the laundry in the morning. The remainder of the day was left for relaxing and just hanging out. We decided to stay another day, as the weather for tomorrow is predicted to be unfavorable for traveling on the water. On Wednesday, we took the courtesy car to do some grocery shopping and sightseeing. Nearby is the Shiloh Military Park.
The battle of Shiloh was fought April 6-7, 1862. This field is peaceful now, but by the time the battle had ended, 23,000 men were dead and dying.
