The rain had subsided but it was still a bit windy and we didn’t know the whereabouts of BraveHeart as we hadn’t heard from them.  Around 10:30 am, there was a loud knocking on the boat.  Upon investigation, we discovered it was one of the marina dockhands with a message to call BraveHeart on the VHF radio.  We did and found that BraveHeart had arrived during the rain yesterday and spent the night on the town dock!  Since the wind was forecasted to subside in early afternoon, a decision was made to leave around 1:30 for our next destination that was not that far away, only 12 miles or so.  We cast off our lines at 1:30 and continued on with BraveHeart.  The wind did lie down and the journey to Logan Bay was very pleasant.  BraveHeart did have some exciting moments however.  They use the same type of chartplotter chart chip that we do, C-Map.  Our chip was working fine all the way into the harbor.  Unfortunately, BraveHeart’s stopped working somewhere outside the harbor.  They did have paper charts, but could not plot exactly where they were or the depth of the water they were heading into, so they had to rely on us!  It turns out that when we ordered our chips, they sent us two for this area.  BraveHeart had received only one.  The one they need for this portion of the North Channel was not included.  Fortunately we have the chip for this area and will now lead the way until we reach the area they have a chip for!  We arrived in Logan Bay, set the anchor and took the dogs to shore on a small sandy beach.  We noticed some limestone rocks in the sand and found that they marked a clear, rock free approach to the beach.  This will make it easy to return to the same spot when we come back out later with the dogs.  After dinner, we joined Ken and Pinky on BraveHeart for a few games of Mexican Train dominoes and then off to bed.
