Excellent decision to stay put. This morning brought light showers. Bob and I walked back to the Anchor Inn, as Roy had invited us to attend the morning broadcast of the daily Cruisers Net program. After the program, we continued on to the grocery store to reprovision. By now, the light showers had turned into a steady rain. We bought more than my handy cart could carry, and I didn't listen when Bob suggested we bring a canvas bag or two, so we had to get extra plastic bags at the grocery story to carry everything back to the boat! By the time we got back, we were both soaked to the skin. Oh well, I guess that's all part of the cruising life! The Cruisers Net was sponsoring a dinghy poker run race. Sometime in the early afternoon, we looked up and saw a number of dinghies coming toward the marina at a very quick speed, each with two people in them and they all had some sort of water gun. They all looked like they were having a great time in spite of the downpour! Hopefully tomorrow the weather will break and we can move on to our next stop.
The dog in the bottom center of this picture befriended me. She followed me from where we were staying into town, to the grocery store, stood outside and waited for me. The manager of another store called the phone number on her tag (her name was Genny) and the owner came to pick her up!
