It is raining hard this morning, so we decided to stay another day in Fenelon Falls.  By late morning the rain had stopped and we made good use of this lay day.  The lock is in the center of town, with restaurants, shopping, liquor store and grocery store nearby.  Lynda made up the grocery list and headed off to restock.  Bob headed off to the liquor store to purchase some beer.  There is no traffic in the lock today, seems something in the gate needs to be welded, so unfortunately boats are not able to come up or go down through the lock.  The lock walls are beginning to fill with boats due to the lock being closed.  There are over a dozen boats at the bottom of the lock and another dozen above the lock!
This is the start of a long, 3-day holiday weekend in Canada.  Tomorrow we will get an early start in hopes of obtaining space on the lock wall at the Kirkfield Lift for the night.
