Midway to Aberdeen, MS

Date             November 10, 2011
Day              135
Departure     Midway Marina, Fulton, MS 7:00 am
Arrival          Aberdeen Marina, Aberdeen, MS 1:15 pm
Miles                35.8
Cumulative   3011.8

We had hoped to travel over 60 miles today, so we got up early and underway by 7:00 am.  Unfortunately, we were delayed at the Amory Lock and decided to stop in Aberdeen as Columbus was still over 20 miles away with yet another lock to go through.  The weather has turned much colder, and we need to dress in layers to keep warm.

Most of the trees have lost their colorful leaves, however, the waterway is still fairly scenic.
Sweet Pea on the right and Holiday VII in the distance.
Our shortened destination was Aberdeen Marina.  The approach to the marina was quite a twisty, scenic course through cypress tree knees.

Now it's our turn!
We made it to the dock without incident and later on went out to get something to eat with Jim and Dale from Sweet Pea.
