Another Day at Alligator River

We decided to stay another day at Alligator River Marina, rent a car and do some sight seeing.  Wrong!  We called the telephone number for a rental car provided by the marina, they didn't deliver nor come to pick you up to get the car.  Plan B-call Enterprise, they pick you up!  It was 10 am, they wouldn't have a car available until 1:30 pm.  It was an hour to come to us, so we wouldn't have the car until around 2:30.  We needed to have it back by 5:00 pm so we could resume travel in the morning.  Not much time for sightseeing, so we stayed on the boat and did some much needed financial housekeeping!  Overnight, there had been four other boats in the marina with us, by the time I checked again this morning, we were the only ones left.  Hopefully, we will have company later this afternoon.

Twelve more boats in the marina, and four of them are Loopers, all going to the Rendezvous in Norfolk!
Around 5 pm, we did what Loopers do best and all gathered in the boaters lounge for docktails and good conversation.  All the Loopers are leaving tomorrow.  Some are going to travel the Virginia Cut route, through Coinjock, while others, us included, will travel the Dismal Swamp route, so we will head to Elizabeth City tomorrow.
